Sailor's hospital photos...
I can't get enough of her lips in this pic.
Love her!
Cookie Monster
Mamaw Diane made some healthy cookies for the kiddos. Made from applesauce, bananas, oats and a few other ingredients, who would have ever known?
Sawyer demolished them all! He was furious when Ely and I each tried to take one for ourselves.
There's a Storm Coming Through
For church last night the kids got to dress up as someone from the bible or something that God made. Sawyer was a rain cloud.
He had so much fun gluing cotton balls to card board.
Then we used a kitchen sponge to cut out over sized rain drop stamps. We used acrylic paint and stamped the pants.
Ely wanted something simple.
A gift bag became a lightening bolt.
When they are together, this home shakes and I am not kidding! Like thunder, rain, and lightening.
My perfect storm!

Monday, October 27th
These two girls hold a special place in my heart! Chloe was my shadow for three years (daycare days.) Now she is six and in kindergarten. Her brother, Brenston, is scheduled to arrive on November 18th. Unless, of course, he decides to come sooner. I have to say her mommy is in luck because Chloe is going to be such a big help! Look at how she did putting the paci back in Sailor's mouth without any help.
These pics are so sweet of Angelique snuggling Sailor. While Brenston kicks Sailor from his cozy spot in his mommy's belly. He is already trying to put her in her place.
You look amazing Ang. Only three weeks left and your all belly!!!
I got some hugs from my buggers! I know it's ridiculous how Phil and I nick name everyone... just can't help ourselves.
Sailor has discovered the mirror on the bouncy seat. She seems to be ahead of the game. She is so alert and aware of her surroundings for a 14 day old baby. Or maybe it's just proud parent syndrome.
This very proud daddy bought his daughter her first dress! It is adorable.
Trying to hold a baby and pose for a picture is challenging enough.
Throw a toddler into the mix!?!
It looks as though this daddy is doing just fine balancing both babies.
"What's mine is mine. What's Sailor's use to be mine. Therefore, it's still mine!"
Day Thirteen with Sailor
I am amazed by how intently Sailor stares at the butterfly dangling from her bouncy seat.
I am also amazed by how much love this darling little boy has for his new born sister.
God I love those faces!
And I am amazed by sweet peeling baby feet.
Just precious!

Attempt at a Family Photo Shoot
I don't know how many families attempt to take their own pictures with a tripod. It has proven to be an adventure each time we have tried.
Ely hasn't been home much this fall break. Therefore, I have put pictures off until today when I decided that I could spend my whole life waiting for the perfect moment with all of the kids together and the sun shining. I threw clothes on the little ones, Phil grabbed the camera and tripod and here is what we captured.
Just so you know, I laughed so hard at a couple of these pics that I choked on my apple with peanut butter. Hilarious!
"Ok Phil, I think we are ready. Oh wait. Did you just take a picture while I was talking? Yep, you sure did."
"Sawyer give mommy a kiss. Give me a kiss. Come on...""Oh this is gonna be a good one, I can just feel it!!
Wait a minute... where is Sawyer?"
Dear Lord we are awesome parents.
AND the baby is screaming.
Didn't make it into position before the camera timer went off.
"Wow! Sawyer is actually looking at the camera! Can we fix this photo in photoshop?"
Well at least I look half way decent. Not always true of me and pictures.
A lot of the time I have one eye half closed. It's nice for someone else to be responsible for the photo bomb for once!
(take a real good look at Philly's face... whatever popped into your mind at first glimpse is probably exactly what he was saying. haha)
"Alright...hurry over here Philly. Sawyer is still sitting down instead of climbing the stair rail. When you sit down I will pull the baby's plug and Tada, we'll have a beautiful family picture."
"Kidding, let me try the paci again. Sawyer, keep playing with leaves. Good boy!"
"Ahhh man... we'll never know if this one had a chance at being good because we blocked Sailor's head with Sawyer's shoulder and a fourth of Phil's face with Sawyer's head."
Re-positioning while Philly resets the camera for the twenty first time.
"This is gonna be a good one, I feel like I am at a casino and I'm about to roll the dice! Lucky, Lucky...
And we have a squallier!"
"Maybe this will go better, mother daughter photos!
Yea... maybe if I wouldn't have smashed her poor eye."
"Try again.
Or maybe we should stop and take care of the kids."
Take a break and go in to feed the baby.
Now Sailor has to burp so we are going to have a 15 minute fuss fest.
Still fussing, still snapping pics.
"OMGoodness Sawyer!!!! Stay away from The ROAD!!!"
"Ok, he's coming back this way. Snap another."
Baby eats hair... hmmm... probably not the best postition.
"You think we should give up now Phil?"
"Smile for a couple more?"
"Sawyer is going to the road again?!?"
"Got'em"
"Now to get back up!"
And now for the pictures that we might say made our efforts success. Not professional photography but good enough for this family!
I have said it time and time again...
we end up with what/who we need in our lives.
I can't get enough of this family stuff!! It's the best feeling in the world!
I needed this girl in my life!!!
So in love with Sailor.
