Our doctors appointment today revealed that we may have our little pumpkin in our arms a little sooner than we expected. Not a lot sooner, just a little sooner.
The doctor said that he has been wrong before but he did not expect that we would make it back in for our next appointment scheduled on Monday, October 6th.
That left me praying for this child to wait until Wednesday, October 1st. It's only a matter of hours from now. I must take it easy so that I get that October baby that I have been waiting for for so long.
Can I make it through tonight and tomorrow? All I want to do is organize something. My head keeps telling to get up and do something but my body is telling me to rest. Better listen to my body. Rest is best.
Hang in there for a couple more days sweet baby. It's not far away now... the first day of October.
My Special Friend
A very special friend of mine has spoiled us rotten.
She text me on Saturday and said she was bringing dinner. She prepared a fabulous meal along with these delicious pumpkin softy cookies, stuffed with a sugary cream cheese filling. Out of this world! I love pumpkin to the extreme. Maybe something to do with being a fall baby. The fall baby that I am carrying (for a little longer) loved them too. Which is why I didn't stop at one cookie... I had five in a five hour period. Yes, I will admit it proudly. Not much longer and this baby craving excuse will be gone.
On Monday she popped in carrying this jumbo sized, colorful cow for our new little one. So stinkin' cute I can hardly handle it. Stretchy arms and legs and super soft to the touch! I can picture our little pumpkin crawling over to it and cuddling up on it's fun new friend.
The bag was stuffed with stuffins, filled to the maxium. Diapers, wipes, lotions, baby washes, baby oil, a ball rattle toy,a hand and foot print picture, a stuffed lamb, and monthly onesie stickers.

And she didn't stop there.
She came in Saturday (after serving us dinner) sporting this awesome bag. She said, "Do you like my new bag?" and when I looked over and saw 'Richason' embroidered on the front of it, I about cried. I honestly did not expect a single gift for baby number three. The bag was stuffed with stuffins, filled to the maxium. She has also helped me paint numerous rooms in our home, brought me freezer meals last week to save for when baby comes along, has cooked us so many meals in the past that I have lost count, and the best part... I know she is only a phone call away!
So here is to you Michelle! You deserve a BIG Thank you for spending your time, energy and money on my family.
Thank you Michelle and Brandon (we can't forget Brandon, He helped Phil with our fence project this summer and it was much needed help!) We are grateful to have you in our lives.Bye-Bye Daddy
Sawyer spends many minutes of his day talking about daddy and Lyjah (Elyjah).
"Daddy truck, Lyjah bus." He repeats this over and over while pointing in the direction that he sees Ely go (out the front door) to school and daddy go (out the back door) to work.
Ely doesn't ride the bus but he associated the word school (when I say it to him) with bus. Pretty stinkin' smart for 22 months. I am sure he learned it from Curious George.
Frequently, through the day, Sawyer begins singing, " Daddy, Lyjaaahhhh. Daddddyyy, Lyjah. Truck, Bus, Daddy truck, Lyjah bus." which is adorable when heard in person. I must record it!
I am truly enjoying hearing every word that he picks up on and how he chooses to use those words to communicate.
Sawyer watching daddy leave in his truck.
As he turned around to look at me and say, "daddy, truck." my heart melted.

Happy Birthday You Young Youthful Soul!
Happy birthday to the most wonderful man! I am not sure if I can find enough words to describe the amount of awesomeness that shines from this young youthful soul!
Philly, you amaze me daily.
Lisa took Ely and Sawyer to church this evening and sent Phil and I out on a birthday date. She picked the boys up around 5. Little did we know that they had something up their sleeves. Something very sweet...
Ely did get a plate eventually. After Phil tried feeding him like it was a finger food. See the "MMMmmm" look on Ely's face? It was spectacular!
And the "MmmMmm good" look on Saw's face. Or maybe that is a "Zinga... sugar just kicked in and I'm ready to go," look. Yip, I think so.So delicious that Sawyer had to give a standing ovation.
Then try to lick the sweet remains off of those luscious lips.
Daddy got a couple pairs of shoes.
Sawyer made his way back over to the mousse.
All of the sweetness took over these three guys and suddenly wrapping paper started flying through the air. Wrapping paper wars.
And it didn't end there. Up the stairs they went. Onto the bed. And continued on with a pre-bedtime wrestling match.
They finally wore each other down enough to call it a night.
Happy birthday Philly. We are thankful to have you in our lives.
You are so loved!
xoxo
Molars!
Crying, whining, irritable, moody, snotty nose, fingers in his mouth all of the time...ugh!
Wants nothing to do with his mommy... only daddy and big brother.
Look at the smile on this proud boys face. It must feel rewarding to get your little brother to sleep.
Counting my blessings again today!

Blue Spring Caverns
Saturday (yesterday)
I decided that we needed a small outing as a family of four before we become a family of five (six when Amaya comes to visit.)
We chose to go to Blue Spring Caverns for a boat ride through the cave. I have been two times in the past so I knew that my guys would really enjoy it. And I wouldn't have to walk much... saving energy for all of the cleaning that I can't seem to stop doing.
We started our little adventure here, in the gift shop.
Then down to the cave we went.
Someone began whining at the entrance to the cave. It never even crossed my mind that Sawyer would be afraid. I thought as long as he was in his daddy's big arms he would be fine. Not true. He has all four molars coming through right now. Needless to say everything is bothering him.
Not to worry because ten minutes into the boat ride he was asleep on his chest for the rest of the time. He slept through very loud cave thunder made when the guide smacked the boat with a cushion so we could hear the echo and the boat hitting up against the walls of the cave as we made it around corners and coves.
We all really enjoyed ourselves. We got to hear complete silence and see what it is like to be surrounded in darkness so dark that they say your eyes will never adjust to it. The water gets 18 feet deep in some areas. The mud (they refer to as peanut butter mud) is like quick sand. Standing on it is not really possible. That is when I started to feel a little uneasy and my mind kicked into protection mode.... what would we do if something terrible happened? Oh Jen... you are so pregnant! Severally pregnant!
We made it out safely!
Even survived the steep walk back up to the top.
On secure ground again, I thought to myself... I must be one of the most blessed moms out there! Just look at these two!
And then you add this man to the picture? Perfect! I am thankful everyday of my life. What will these moments look like when there is one more face smiling at this camera? Almost ready. It won't be long and we will see.

Veggie Picker
I love that Sawyer loves to garden.
Sunglasses smashing his ear.
Frog puppet on one hand. The other hand free for picking.
Ready to go inside and show off his efforts.

So proud to show daddy.
Now to come up with clever ways to get him to eat veggies. Harder than you'd think.
