The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Thursday evening we celebrated because school had been called off for Friday! Excitement was in the air as we waited for the snow to begin! The first sight of flurry's and this family could hard stand the wait until morning.
I woke up at 2:30 a.m. and looked out the window...to my delight the ground was covered in snow. 3 a.m. Phil got up and looked out the window and said simply, "It's here!" We went back to sleep dreaming of snow flakes.
Friday morning, Ely patiently waited as we bundled ourselves up. And we were all looking forward to seeing Sawyer in his layers, puffed up like a snowman!
Out for some snow time fun!

 Snow kisses.

We watched three Christmas movies, had homemade loaded potato soup for lunch, decorated the Christmas tree, and chilled out as a familly all snugly and warm.
Then, late that night around eleven o'clock, Phil decided that he and Ely needed a lillte more snow action...
a snow ball right to the side of Philly's head...

...then out  to the street for some sledding, if you can call it that. Phil pulled Ely up and down the road on a disc sled with a rope. This was down right funny!

Back inside for hot cocoa and pop corn before bed. This was day one... we needed rest for our tomorrow.
Saturday, Otis Park
In the far distance you can see our proud daddy pulling his snow baby up the hill.
I think he is ready... he looks ready.

 And...
 he's...
 off!

The tiny spec at the bottom of the hill is Ely. Covered in snow after his crash landing.

 Sawyer's first sled ride.

"Hey brother, let me adjust your hat."
 "I'm cool. Just sayin'."

Here comes Philly!!

47 and he still has it!
And I try to have it... ha!

Sawyer's journey down the big kid hill with daddy.

 He LOVED it!
This big kid went down laughing all the way!

 Time to head back home.
.
It has been a magical begin to the holiday season.
