Meet Our Baby

So beautiful! It is amazing to see that first glimpse of baby.
I find it unbelievable that so much detail is revealed before birth. You can see how skeletal the baby is. How it's skin sags because there is not yet any fat on it's body. The facial features.

We made it through the appointment without finding out the gender!
So, what do you think? Girl or Boy?
We are 20 weeks and 5 days along on this journey. Right at the half way mark.
The heart rate was 137 today. The baby weighs 15 oz and is about the length of a tube of tooth paste.
We saw the baby making a chewing motion with it's mouth. It also had it's hand up to it's mouth and face several times. So sweet to see those precious movements. Very healthy!
We are looking forward to that date in October when we get to hold you in our arms sweet baby! Until then, just keep growing.
Love, Mommy, Daddy, Ely and Sawyer
xoxo

P.S. My after thought was to put Sawyer and our newest little sweetie side by side for everyone to compare.
                                                                           Our newest family member

Baby Sawyer
Sawyer was 10oz at this routine ultrasound and his heart rate 149.
What a difference in heart rate and weight compared to our new little sweetie.

Baby Update

Today I had a doctors appointment for a quick check up. Our baby's heart rate was 150 beats per minute. Is it to soon to start guessing boy or girl according to this number? Everything is going great! Feeling blessed.

Destin 2014

Many times I have thought that I may stop writing the blog and just post pictures on face book. Then this very sweet girl,
Giana, (photo taken with her dad, Dan) told me that she looks at the blog all of the time. How can I stop posting when I know she enjoys it so much? I guess I will have to keep it up for now.
So, because of you, G, I am continuing our journey!

This vacation was full of surprises. Uncle Pat and Aunt Lori shocked every one of us by showing up on the beach this year! This was simply the most unexpected thing that could have happened on our Destin vacation!
Sawyer surprised everyone with awesome swim gear.

"Hey peps, they brought me back to beach again!"

"I've been entertaining everybody. If I keep this up maybe they won't make me take a nap."
"Opps. What do they say about speaking too soon?"
Play time with cousins Nick...

 and Giana.
We spent a few days in sweat shirts, pants, socks, and blankets or towels to shield the wind. (Sue and Chelsea)

The cool weather did not stop us from enjoying our time together.
Philly gave a few speeches. But it was this speech....
that suprised the family.

" A new Richason on the way" speech. Ely and Sawyer are going to be big brothers sometime around October 10th. This baby has the possibility of sharing a birthday with Giana, Aunt Angel, Me (Jen), Uncle Eric, Uncle Pete, Cousin Jack, and Aunt Jeanie. Very exciting!
And the family keeps growing!
This looks like a large family. However, there are several family members missing from this picture. Next year maybe we will all be together on the beach again!
"I am lovin' this Ginger Ale stuff! MMmmm."
"Cold and refreshing,"

"My parents said it is supposed to storm all day. So they brought the sand to me since I can't go to the sand."

"Hehehe... crazy parents! Can you believe'em? How fun are they?"
"Just wait until we get home. I am going to bring some sand inside for them. They are going to love it!"

Big Brothers

We are thrilled to announce that we are going to have two big brothers in our family. Ely and Sawyer!!
Yep, I am pregnant!!!
This is our little peanut...
Baby's feet on this side   ~      Baby's head over here.
This ultrasound pic was taken on March 10th, 2014. Baby was one inch in length.
We are 10 weeks along now. We waited much longer before telling family and friends this time. It is nice to have an ultrasound picture to show when telling the big news.
Our due date is October,10th, 2014! We are getting our October baby! Yippee!
Sawyer will have a sibling that is 22 to 23 months younger than him. Some people think we are crazy. We think this is the perfect opportunity for Sawyer to have a best friend to grow up with.

Runner

Fast as fast can be,
 you'll never catch me,
Hehehe!

Twelve

I could go on and on about Ely. About how kind he is.
I could describe what an amazing brother he has been. Or go into detail about his awesome personality, etc.
I will keep it short and sweet.
This boy turned twelve yesterday! Having him in my life for the past twelve years has made everyday feel worth it! He has put a smile on my face and love in my heart moment after moment.
I love you Elyjah Aaron. I hope this year is everything you expect it to be and more.

Eleven was more than amazing. What word would you use to describe something that keeps getting better?
I am sure age twelve will be that (the word that you choose:)
