Pumpkin Patch 2013

Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch started with hugs, a live band and amazing pizza with raspberry sauce(sounds weird but it was truly great).
With these three boys by my side all day, you know I had a wonderful time.
A wagon ride to the pumpkin patch,
hundreds of pumpkins to choose from,
and some delicious ice cream...
made this family fun day very special!
All pumpkin'd out...all the way home.
I know I state this constantly but how can I resist?...
"I am such a blessed person! All of the prayers that I have sent up have been answered. The proof is in the pictures!"

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 2013

Another year at Myrtle Beach! Another week of fabulous memories made!
You have probably never witnessed beach bums like us. We literally spend ever minute possible sitting in the sand and swimming in the ocean. We rarely leave, we eat at our condo, we are not shopper, we have two goals and two goals only...beach time and some serious family time.
Sand castle construction.
(Philly)"Do you see that Saw?"
(Sawyer)"Yes...
...and I love it daddy! Thank you for showing me the ocean!" muahh(Sawyer)
"You are welcome sweet boy! Daddy loves you!" smooch(Philly)
Ely thought that Dunkin' Donuts only existed in movies. Soooooo... we had to do the right thing and stop to  purchase a dozen. You know... double chocolate, fall havest, cream filled, etc. ha!
Beach naps... the best naps ever! (Though never long enough.)
Thursday nights dinner.
Good morning Myrtle Beach!
This is our baby "sea turtle." Sawyer truly earned this title on the beach. People would walk by and stop to watch him play in the water. No fear at all. It was a bit scary.  No matter how deep it got or how strong the wave, he continued on into the water like it was his natural habitat. When we would pick him up and turn him around, he would get upset and cry, kicking his legs, trying to get down. Once we put him down, back out he went as fast as his tiny hands and knees would carry him.
Ely took the time to make drip castles so that Sawyer could knock them down. How unbelievably sweet is that?
Ely enjoys digging holes in the sand. Sawyer stuck his hands and arms down into the sand as far as he could. He also stuck his face in the water repetitively. These children love the beach very much!
Little monkey.
Another beautiful 7 a.m. sunrise.
It is always hard to leave the ocean and make that journey back home.
Except when you have someone by your side like Ely.
On our drive home Ely reminded of what life is about. "Mom, I have decided that life is all about making good memories. When we get home can we make some more?" Of course we can Ely, of course we can!"
Another brief period of time add to our journey,
Jen, Phil, Ely, and Sawyer
