Knee Pads for Our Teething Baby

Mamaw Diane and papaw Andy bought me knee pads. They protects me from my head down to my knees!

My teeth hurt so bad they make me cry... I have three already and three more coming in.
Mommy numbed my gums. I feel so much better now. I think I'll enjoy a good book.
I can read upside down.
Wait... what did you say dad? Sorry I didn't hear you because I was reading.
Ahhahhahha! That's hilarious dad!
Did you hear that mom? Dad is so funny!
Now back to my story. I borrowed it from my friend Maddox's library. I have to return it to him next week.
Check back in with me soon. Ta-ta for now.

Ely's first day of 5th grade 2013

Ely started school last Thursday the 8th of August. He was bummed that none of his closest friends were in his class. He came home so excited with news that his new teacher, Mrs. Benham, is totally awesome. Then Friday's news was that he was intimidated when he was in the position of switching classes three times each day. Slowly adjusting... I think it is going to be a great year for Ely.
No best buddies around means the possibility of meeting new pals and switching three times a day means change and new experiences. Ely is not seeing his new school year this way just yet. However, I expect by then end of this week he will begin to settle in nicely.

1st day of 5th grade

Bright colors, high top shoes, and long socks. Wow, it's a blast from the past for me.
Loving my 5th grade boy,

Active

This almost nine month old is into everything of course.
Today Sawyer and I clear out a cabinet and made it into his own kitchen toys cabinet.

Now I can get a bit more baby proofing done while Sawyer plays right by my side. Dishes and meals made a little easier too.

He has a few new tricks to show off as well....
Mission accomplished, ball obtained!

Sawyer has learned to crawl.
Tada...got it!
He is almost always this happy!

Bath time is still my favorite time of day. Second is running naked after my bath! Woohoo!
Peek a boo....I see you. And your tiny tush too!

Sawyer loves to be in water anyway he possibly can. Summer time at Kenray Lake.
He attended his 1st birthday party for his girl Scout.
And their first kiss initiated by Sawyer! Lord have mercy on this mommy's soul!!!!!!

First time enjoying sand (at Lake Michigan.)
There are many more first moments ahead of us as our boy becomes more active and independent. Looking back on these moments I have posted makes thoughts of our future so special.
