2 Month Update

Our boy is getting so big!
He loves looking at his feet and hands.
He rolls to his left side.
He has became very observant. Aunt Dawn and Uncle Pete gave him this wonderful mobile. The entire nursery was based on the colors of the leaves and creatures from this magical theme.
"Yay for my friends that hang out above my crib!"
Then I ran across this swing. He had to have it too! Sawyer talks to his creature buddies on a regular basis.
He is getting better with the ball. We are rotating between his football and baseball. Moving on to the soccer ball and golf ball this week!
Sawyer is already a STAR!
Produced in 2012 by Jen and Phil, starring Baby Sawyer Milo Richason.
Still smiling all of the time....
started on his path in education over the weekend...
still hanging out with his papaw every chance he gets...
and snuggling with his daddy.
He received his first pair of cowboy boots for his two month birthday.
The most memorable moment of month two to three...
We began tucking our baby into bed at 10 weeks!
We moved our sweet boy out of our bedroom and into his own bed. Tears. Kind of hard on mom but, I knew it was time and best for all of us.
We started him out in his crib with his co-sleeper bed inside because it is small and cozy. A week later we made the switch to his bassinet inside his crib because he outgrew his co-sleeper, keeping him secure with space size. Now we are ready to try our first nights in the crib. We will see if he senses the vastness of the space or if he has adjusted to his surroundings enough to handle it like a big guy.
Sawyer is now sleeping from 10ish until 4ish, back to sleep until 6:30ish! This baby continues to amaze me.
Sleep tight mama's Milo.

This baby is soooo peaceful.

Reflections of 2012

We love New Years Eve at our house! For our family, as for most I assume, it is a time of reflection of the year that has passed and a time of hope for the up coming year.
2012 was the biggest year of mine and Phil's lives!
We bought our dream home. Fixer upper and all. If you know us well, you know that we would have it any other way!
That was January 5th, 2012
On March 15th, 2012, we found out that we were expecting a little Richason.
We tore out the drive way to put in a pool. To be completed in 2013!!! Yippee!
Ely's bedroom got a major makeover.
Before
After
We created a nursery for our baby. The most challenging room in house got knocked off the list.

After
The nursery has some finishing touches still left to complete though we are very close to done.
We tried to create a neutral nursery but maybe we lend a bit toward the boyish side of decorating. Oppsie!
Our living room went through some changes.
Before
After
Phily proposed! Finally!
 Lord I am a dork!
Our P Street renters moved out and left an incredibly disgusting mess behind. We didn't know that people really lived the way that these folks lived. It was beyond imaginable. Repulsively nasty! The SHOCK of 2012!

Ely joined the Lawrence County swim team and continued to take drum and piano lessons.
Amaya continued taking guitar lessons and likes her school and friends in Danville, Indiana.

We found renters for our old Edgewood house. The side porch got finished. Yes we waited until we moved out to complete it. Why? Because we are crazy and it just worked out that way;)

The day we waited so long for... Sawyer arrived on November 20th, 2012 at 5:51 a.m. He has already added so much to our family. The big kids love having a baby brother to love and hold. Phil and I feel so blessed to have three wonderful and healthy children to raise!
Our front porch...
got disassembled.

And they have begun to put it back together!
Needless to say... If we have not been in touch with friends and family as much as expected, we have been a little bit busy this passed year. 2012 has been exhausting, exciting, rewarding, thrilling, and shocking! Truly the biggest year of our lives.
In the year of 2013 we have many goals. Our lists of accomplishments are just as long as 2012. However, we will be slowing down, taking it easy, and enjoying the most important parts of life....

May all of your hopes and dreams come true in 2013,
Jen, Phil, Ely, and Sawyer

Christmas Time with the Richason's

Phil and I were delighted that his brother Dan, sister in-law Sue, and their three children Louden, Noah, and Gianna, came to Bedford for a quick visit to see our house and of course the newest family member. We don't see enough of them because they live in Pennsylvania.
Dan
Sue
Louden (and Grandma Jinner)
Noah
Gianna
They were off to an I.U. game to full fill Noah's life long dream! We were all meeting the next day at Jeanie's house for some Richason Christmas time fun!
And here is how our Christmas celebration went...
Uncle Patrick got some one on one time with Sawyer.
Aunt Pat got to hold her Great nephew in her arms for the first time.
We captured a pic of these three Amigos.
Cousin Jeff enjoyed some time with his very special little cousin... Sawyer was born on Jeff's birthday. Jeff predicted that he would be sharing his birthday with this little one. How awesome is that?
Jeff's daughters Maddie and Megan posed for a picture.
Stevie finally got his hands on the boy. He may get an award for checking in on Sawyer the most. We know that he was thrilled to meet the little guy.
Sarah and Emily just hanging out.
Tanner with our little man.
Ben got a hold of the sweet boy during his fussy time. It didn't seem to bother Ben one bit. He calmed Sawyer down and back to sleep he went.
Cousins... just hanging out together with Grandma.
Aunt Dawn visiting with Sawyer for the first time.
Cousin Luke couldn't wait to meet Baby Sawyer. What a trio.
All of the adults (Phil's Mom, sister, brother in-law, brothers, and sister in-laws.)
Grandma Jinner with all of her Grand kids...
and what else to do but 'raise the roof!'
You can see what makes our Richason Christmas's so enjoyable!
So thankful to be a part of such a wonderful family,
Jen
